Hybrid systems

Connecting training rooms across sites

The alphaX range extends an alphadidact® Digital installation with connections that leave the training room – to a second site, or to individual participants.

What hybrid means

What a multi-site training system connects

A hybrid training system connects two training rooms at different sites over an IP connection, so that both rooms see the same source: the computer at the instructor station just as readily as a camera or a microscope.

The alphaX range adds exactly that outward connection to an existing alphadidact® Digital installation. Three building blocks cover three distances: alphaX Bridge pairs one room with another, alphaX Share brings in individual participants from elsewhere, and alphaX Vision brings the screens of the room onto a display at the instructor station.

alphaX is therefore the only branch of the range in which a network plays any part at all. Distribution inside a training room runs over its own cabling and manages without one; only the second site calls for a link between buildings. Where an air-gapped training room is a condition of procurement, the installation remains entirely self-contained without alphaX.

Signal path

Two rooms, one picture

The route a source takes from the instructor station in the first training room to the monitors in the second.

Both installations carry on working in their own right. Which source takes the route outwards is chosen by the instructor on the touchscreen.
  • Source at the instructor station: computer, notebook, camera or microscope
  • The installation in the room distributes the picture to the workstations on site
  • IP connection between the two sites
  • The second installation puts the same picture on its workstations, in both directions

Next step

Two sites, one course

Whether two rooms can be paired depends on the installations already in place and on the link between the buildings. Describe both, and you will receive an assessment together with a quotation.
