What a training room AV system has to do inside a public authority
A government training room AV system carries the picture and sound of one computer over dedicated cabling to the screens at every workstation, so that the installation never has to be connected to the department's data network.
Nothing is installed on the computers being taught on. The picture leaves the computer through its graphics output and travels from there through the units of the system to the individual workstations; what is carried is an HDMI signal with audio. No driver, no agent and no background service reaches a machine that sits on the department's network.
The tablet control connects to the system directly over Bluetooth. It joins no network and needs neither access to the building's Wi-Fi nor an access point. Where even that radio link is unwelcome, the room is operated from the built-in touchscreen or the system keyboard.
For procurement this shortens the review. Whether tax office, police academy or ministry, there is no application to approve and no account to administer. What remains to be assessed is hardware that sits in the training room and does not leave it.

The system forms a signal path of its own alongside the building's data network. The two touch at no point.

The size of an installation follows the room: up to 100 workstations in a star layout, up to 50 student positions in a ring.

Connections that can be screwed down
The sockets on the units are DVI-D; what travels over them is an HDMI signal with audio. DVI-D connectors can be screwed down. In a system that is fitted once and then used for years, the connection stays where it was plugged in.
