What EBS Euchner builds, and where it does so
EBS Euchner Büro- und Schulsysteme GmbH is a manufacturer of AV systems for training rooms based in Heusenstamm near Frankfurt, and has developed and built the equipment that distributes and controls video signals in training rooms and teaching laboratories since 1984.
The systems are installed in over 50 countries — in computer labs and IT training rooms, in medical teaching laboratories and skills labs, in government ministries and in police and military academies. Since 2023, export business has accounted for more than half of turnover.
Sales and OEM partnerships with manufacturers from other industries take the technology into rooms that EBS does not plan itself: language laboratories, call centres, dental and microscopy labs, anatomy dissection rooms, server rooms, conference rooms and auditoriums. In these projects EBS supplies the signal technology and the partner the rest of the fit-out.

- 1984
Founded as alpha Computer Service GmbH
Günter Euchner founds the company. From the outset its purpose is technology for computer-assisted education and training.
- 1985
The first systems in the alphadidact® range
The first generation of equipment carries EGA and VGA images between the workstations of a training room.
- 1991
Renamed EBS Euchner Büro- und Schulsysteme GmbH
Günter Euchner and his son Robert Euchner have run the company as managing partners ever since.
- 1993
videodidact® as the predecessor system
The Select, Show and View variants follow by 1994. The range is no longer in the programme today; rooms with this equipment were later converted to the digital technology.
- 2007
The digital training system alphadidact Digital
It replaces the videodidact range and is built as a 4K system today.
- 2014
A new visual identity
The revised logo picks up the three primary colours of signal transmission: red, green and blue.
- 2023
Exports pass half of turnover
Export business accounts for more than 50 per cent of total turnover.

Manufacturing
Built in house
The circuit boards are produced on the company's own SMD line in Heusenstamm. A large component store and forward-looking production planning keep delivery times short, and every unit is tested before it ships. All products carry a three-year warranty, five years on request.

The development work of EBS is certified by the Bescheinigungsstelle Forschungszulage (BSFZ) as research and development within the meaning of the German Research Allowance Act. The seal is carried by companies for which at least one positive assessment has been issued.
