Control elements

System keypad for the training room

Each button carries a workstation or a function; the layout follows the seating plan and does not change over the life of the installation.

System keypad

What separates a keypad from a panel

A system keypad is a control panel with permanently assigned buttons that switches a training system without an on-screen menu: one button stands for one workstation or one function, and its label stays the same.

The size of the keypad follows the number of seats. Several sizes are available so that the arrangement of the participant buttons matches the seating plan of the room and a workstation lies where it actually stands.

The keypad needs no power supply of its own and is built for continuous use in training rooms. Where a different instructor teaches every day and no briefing takes place, a fixed label carries further than a menu.

Button layout

The buttons follow the seating plan

The layout is settled before manufacture. Rows, blocks and numbering take over the arrangement of the room, so that the button on the far left switches the workstation on the far left. Added to these are the buttons for the signal sources at the instructor position and for the basic functions.

Continuous use

Robust and without a power supply of its own

The keypad works without a power adapter and has no display. In rooms that stay unchanged for years and in which operation has to be quick, it is often the calmer control element.
