What separates the three system families
Training room AV systems distribute one video signal from a single source to many screens; at EBS Euchner they do so uncompressed – alphadidact® Digital inside a room, matrix switchers, switches and AV extenders on the way there, hybrid systems between sites.
All three families carry the same signal: HDMI with sound, routed over DVI-D sockets that can be screwed down. In a permanently installed system that is the difference between a connector that sits for years and one that slowly works its way out. Nothing is compressed along the way – the processing step that would create a delay never takes place.
How large a system can grow depends on the cabling. In a star layout it reaches as many as 100 workstations through satellites, in a ring layout as many as 50 student positions. Which topology a room is given follows from its floor plan and its cable routes – both settled before the quotation, not on site.
