alphadidact® Digital
Screen sharing for your computer lab, in hardware
alphadidact Digital sends any screen in the room to any other seat in 4K – as hardware, with nothing installed on the PCs and no network involved.
Basic principle
What a classroom screen sharing system does in a computer lab
A hardware-based classroom screen sharing system connects the screens of a computer lab through cabling of its own instead of through software on the PCs: the picture from one workstation is available at every other seat, whatever operating system runs there.
What travels is an HDMI signal with sound, uncompressed. There is no encoding step to cost time and no buffer to hold it back. The sockets on the boxes are DVI-D and can be screwed down – in a permanently installed system that stays put where a plain connector would slowly work its way out.
Because the system has a signal layer of its own, it does not need the building network. Nothing is installed on the PCs, no service runs in the background and no account is created. For a procurement office that is the difference between an application to the IT department and a trade that stays inside the room.
Products
Four product areas, one signal path
Four building blocks are available: the training system in the room, the signal distribution behind it, the controls in front of it and – where two rooms are to work together – the link to the outside. Which of them a system needs is decided by the room.
Signal path
How the picture travels through the room
In a star layout every workstation has its own cable running to the central unit. There it is switched which seat is sending and which seats receive it.
Applications
Where the systems are installed
alphadidact® Digital works in computer labs at schools and vocational colleges, in PC pools and lecture theatres at universities, in skills labs for dentistry, anatomy and microscopy, in the training centres of tax authorities, police forces and armed forces, and in corporate training rooms.

Schools, universities, companies
IT and computer labs
In the computer lab the instructor's screen is available at every seat. A participant's screen can just as readily be put on all the others.

Public sector
Public administration
Tax offices, police academies and armed forces sites train in rooms whose network is particularly protected. Picture and control run over cabling of their own and leave that network alone.

Skills labs
Medical skills labs
Images from simulators, microscopes, intraoral cameras and diagnostic devices are available at every training position – uncompressed, at the resolution of the device.

Dentistry
Dental simulation labs
University dental clinics and dental faculties equip their phantom head workstations, together with the manufacturers of the treatment units.

Anatomy
Dissection rooms
Every dissection table in the room shows what the camera above the demonstration table is recording – without anyone having to stand up.

Microscopy
Sharing the microscope image
The image from a microscope camera goes to the monitors at every course position, so that everyone has the same specimen in front of them.

Quotation
Planning a room
A floor plan of the room and the number of seats are enough for a quotation. In return you receive a proposal for how the room is equipped – without obligation.
